The Cleansing Wave is about more than making a beautiful bar of soap. It is an opportunity to point hearts toward the One who makes us truly clean.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
Psalm 51:10
Why the name matters
The Story Behind the Name
This soap is a picture and physical representation of what Jesus has done in my life! He is The Cleansing Wave! He has washed my sin away and has given me a fresh, clean, new life. I cannot tell you what a blessing it is to have your sins forgiven and the guilt gone. “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Ps 51:10
The Cleansing Wave is also a hymn that was written in the late 1870’s by Pheobe Palmer. We would sing this in church from time to time. One Saturday night, around Christmas, I was having trouble sleeping and thoughts from my past would not leave me alone. I began to pray and said to myself “I hope we sing The Cleansing Wave tomorrow in church. We won’t though because it’s Christmas and we only sing Christmas songs.” The next morning, I had forgotten about all that and we were off to church. I was seated in Sunday School and the pianist began to play. It was the Cleansing Wave! I really almost fell out of my chair! I never expected that! God did that just for me, to let me know He heard my prayer and nothing is too small or too personal for Him to do!
Soon after, I began my interest in soap making. I knew if this ever became anything, I would name it The Cleansing Wave! “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Cor 5:17. My fervant desire is to use this soap to help others to know that Jesus saves and can change a life heading for disaster into something wonderful! He can cleanse your heart and change your life!
